Official partner of Deutsche Oper Berlin
A composition of music and flowers
Fleurop is an official partner of the Deutsche Oper Berlin and supports the capital's largest opera house with artfully bound bouquets and floral arrangements for premieres, concerts and operas.
Classical music and opera are as important a cultural asset as flowers. Even in the capital's largest opera house, artists are presented with a bouquet of flowers on stage after the performance as a token of appreciation. Since 2017, Fleurop AG has been the exclusive flower partner of the Deutsche Oper Berlin.
"Fleurop and Deutsche Oper Berlin both want to reach people's hearts. People laugh, love, cry and die on the opera stage. The occasion for a bouquet of flowers is just as varied. Both music and flowers have the power to arouse and intensify emotions. We are delighted to have found in Fleurop a partner who, like the Deutsche Oper Berlin, knows how to touch people with its compositions," says Thomas Fehrle, Managing Director of the Deutsche Oper Berlin.
As part of the collaboration, Fleurop will provide event floristry for individual performances - from floral table decorations for premieres, to bouquets for soloists, conductors and choirmasters at concerts, to flower distribution campaigns for visitors to the Deutsche Oper Berlin.
Fleurop partner Heike Alex from Floristik am Klinikum Westend in Berlin designs the flower arrangements with her team. "The atmosphere at the Deutsche Oper Berlin is always very special to me. We are proud to embellish this traditional venue with our floral creations and hope to bring joy to the audience and the artists on stage," says the florist.
Opera fans were able to see for themselves how well music and flowers go together at the 2017 season opening festival of the Deutsche Oper: Fleurop was on site with a DIY workshop where young and old artists could get creative and create a hair wreath out of flowers. In 2018, too, there were great activities - for example, Fleurop was present at the opening of the new season on 1 September.
