Instructions for autumn door decorations - we'll show you how:
Step 1: Bending the wire
Start by bending the wire into the desired heart shape. Make sure that the wire is strong enough to hold the lavender stems later, but still flexible enough to be easily moulded. This base serves as a frame for your lavender heart and should be symmetrical and evenly shaped so that the end result looks beautiful and harmonious.
Step 2: Trim the lavender
Cut the lavender stems into even bunches so that they fit well around the wire frame. Make sure that the stems are not too short so that they can be easily attached to the wire later. Depending on how full you want your lavender heart to be, you can use larger or smaller bunches.
Step 3: Fixing the lavender bunches
Attach the trimmed lavender bunches to the wire frame using the jute wire. Start at the top of the heart and work your way up step by step. Wrap the ribbon tightly around the stems so that the bunches hold well but are not tied too tightly so that the lavender flowers retain their shape. Make sure that the bunches overlap slightly to create an even, full look.
Step 4: Finish off the first side of the heart
After you have attached the first bunches of lavender, finish off one side of the heart by securing the last stems on this side with wire or ribbon. You have now finished one half of the lavender heart and can concentrate on the other side.
Step 5: Start the second side of the heart
Now start attaching the lavender tufts to the other side of the heart in the same way. Make sure you work with the same density and pattern to create an even and symmetrical heart.
Step 6: Finish the second side of the heart
Finish the second side of the lavender heart by carefully tying the last bunches of lavender to the bottom of the frame. Your lavender heart is now tied and ready to hang!
That's it!
Your lavender heart is now complete and ready to brighten up your home! You can hang it on a decorative ribbon - whether on the door, on the wall or even as a window decoration. For a personal touch, you can also personalise your lavender heart with small accessories such as dried flowers, bows or wooden pendants. The pleasant scent of lavender not only makes this DIY decoration a visual highlight, but also gives off a wonderful, calming fragrance in your home!
