Upcycling idea: make your own containers to hold bouquets
Would you like to put out little bouquets on Lonely Bouquet Day and give someone a little treat? In this post, Luisa from schereleimpapier.de shows you how you can easily conjure up pretty containers for the bouquets from drinks cartons.
Materials required:
- An empty drinks carton
- Cutter knife
- Acrylic paint
- paintbrush
- Lonely Bouquet Day tag
Instructions for the upcycling containers:
Step 1: Cut & paint the drinks carton
Rinse out the drinks carton carefully and then cut it to the desired size using a cutter knife. You can then paint the cardboard as you wish with acrylic paint. I opted for a minimalist colour scheme so that the flowers really stand out. Leave the new coat of paint to dry well afterwards.
Step 2: Add water, flowers & pendants
Fill the drinks carton 3/4 full with water and place a small bouquet of flowers inside. Finally, all that's missing is the tag from Lonely Bouquet Day so that the finders know that they can take the bouquet with them.
That's it!
Tip: When you put out your bouquets, wait nearby and look at the happy and surprised faces of the finders.
