They bring fresh colours into the home and awaken long-awaited spring feelings - Easter flowers. Yellow spring flowers are particularly popular at Easter as they create a warm and friendly atmosphere. Whether as a bouquet or arrangement, our Fleurop partner florist Micha von der Tannendiele has put together the 5 most popular flowers for Easter.

Tulips

Our number one is of course..... the tulip - because Easter without tulips would be like Christmas without a Christmas tree! Tulips are simply a real classic at Easter!

The colourful flowers in various shades of red, yellow, pink and white symbolise the awakening of nature, awaken the joy of spring and are therefore also a popular Easter decoration or a beautiful Easter gift.

Some of the most popular tulip varieties are parrot tulips, fringed Crispa tulips and double tulips. With them, nothing stands in the way of a colourful floral frenzy at Easter!

Daffodils

It has it in its name and is therefore an integral part of Easter - the daffodil. Everyone knows that when the daffodil blooms, Easter is not far away. These beauties now not only bloom in yellow, but also in countless other varieties: White, cream, double or even orange. The daffodil not only enchants your balcony and garden, but is also becoming increasingly popular in the vase.

Pearl hyacinths

The pearl hyacinth, also known as muscari, is particularly effective in large quantities - for example, when planted in a large washing bowl or in large flower baskets. They are also wonderful for hiding small Easter eggs in at Easter.

The pearl hyacinth is not only a beautiful decoration for Easter, but also provides a valuable source of food for bees and other insects.

Ranunculus

The absolute favourite flower in specialist shops at Easter is and remains the ranunculus. Not only because it lasts so wonderfully long, but also because it has a very wide colour spectrum that offers something for everyone.

Our tip: The "Grand Pastel" variety is a real eye-catcher in any vase and our absolute recommendation for Easter! The flower grows very large and feathery and also has a great pastel colour.

Poppy

You probably don't need to say much more about the beauty of the poppy - because it speaks for itself. It impresses everyone with its whimsical movements and paper-like flowers. Unfortunately, however, the poppy has a less attractive side to it - it doesn't keep for very long.

So here's a little tip to help you enjoy poppies for as long as possible: If you buy poppies from a florist, they usually have a darker spot at the bottom of the stem. Please do not cut off this spot, but place the poppy directly in the vase without cutting it. If this sealed area is not present, hold the stem in water at around 80-85 degrees for about 10 seconds and then place it in the flower vase.
