Easter table decorations
Celebrations should be celebrated and preferably with beautiful table decorations for a meal or breakfast with family and friends. This is also the case at Easter. A suitable table setting doesn't have to be elaborate. With a few simple basics, a normal table can be transformed into a beautiful and inviting festive table in no time at all.
The basis for this beautiful table decoration is a simple linen tablecloth and simple earthenware crockery. As a highlight, flowers are an essential part of any table decoration. In keeping with Easter, the "Easter lights" bouquet adorns the centre of the table. Coloured Easter eggs in a dark shade of pink and a matching etagere provide a little contrast. This makes the table decoration look much livelier, but not too wild, and the pink tone creates a beautiful colour harmony with the yellow tones in the Easter bouquet.
But what would an Easter table decoration be without Easter eggs and bunny ears? When combined, a decorative ensemble of napkin and flowery Easter egg makes a beautiful centrepiece to complement the rest of the table decorations. A real eye-catcher for the Easter table that you can easily create yourself.
Required materials:
- Simple linen or cotton napkins (particularly beautiful in a delicate colour)
- Homemade Easter eggs decorated with flowers
- leather ribbon
Instructions for the table decoration
Step 1: Fold the napkin diagonally
Fold the napkin diagonally at two corners to form a triangle.
Step 2: Fold the napkin in narrow strips
Fold the napkin from the long side to the tip of the triangle in narrow strips (approx. 2-3 cm). Finally, fold in the tip.
Step 3: Place the napkin around the Easter egg
Place the folded napkin around the floral Easter egg and cross it over the egg.
Step 4: Tie the napkin together and shape the bunny ears
Tie together with a leather ribbon. This creates a napkin with bunny ears around the Easter egg.
Done!
The finished Easter bunny napkins can be arranged beautifully in the centre of the plate or in a bowl. A table decoration always looks more harmonious if you use different elements several times. For example, it looks great if you use the same decorative eggs again on the table, e.g. on a small cake plate or individually on the table. Add a few simple small quail eggs to emphasise the natural look of the table decoration.
